About The Parents' Rosary
The Parents' Rosary prayer started in Gdańsk, Poland in 08 September 2001. The concept is based on the idea of the Living Rosary, where a groups of 20 people who pray one decade of the rosary (1x Our Father, 10 x Hail Mary, 1x Glory Be) for their children every day.
There are 20 mysteries of the Holy Rosary, so each person is praying one mystery for each day of the month. The animator of the Parents' Rosary is responsible for appointing the mysteries to the members of the parent's rosary group at the beginning.
For that reason every day, a group of 20 parents is praying for all of the children within the group, and in that way, the whole Rosary is being recited. It takes only 3-4 minutes to pray one decade of the Rosary, and if we compare it to the tremendous amount of time we spend, for example, in front of TV, we can easily see, this is something we are capable of doing. Only 4 minutes out of my life to get 24 hour protection for my children?
That's a true gift of God's economy! The knowledge that there are always 19 other people praying for my child, even if I forget, brings comfort and peace. We don't have to worry about our children's present and future lives, as long as we entrust them to God and Mary's intercession.
The Parents Rosary prayer spread all over Poland and in short time it spread to almost every country all over the world thanks to Polish, who have their links with relatives in Homeland, being out of their own country.
